coffee banana bread with chocolate and nuts

Cake:
2 cups all purpose flour
¾ tsp baking soda
1¼ cup lightly packed, light brown sugar
½ tsp salt (kosher salt or sea salt)
¾ cup walnuts, coarsely chopped
3 very ripe bananas
¼ cup plain [hormone-free] yogurt
½ cup unsalted [hormone-free] butter, melted and cooled
2 large [vegetarian-diet] eggs, lightly beaten
¼ cup very strongly brewed coffee, cooled
½ cup chocolate chips (optional)

Topping:
2 tsp ground coffee
2 tbsp raw sugar (turbinado)
1 tbsp finely chopped walnuts

Preparation:
1. Preheat oven to 350º Fahrenheit.
2. To make the topping, mix together coffee and sugar. Set aside.
3. To make the cake, whisk together all dry ingredients.
4. With a fork, mash the bananas very well.
5. Mix all wet ingredients together into dry ingredients until just combined.
6. Grease bottom of a 9x5x3 inch loaf pan.
7. Pour the batter into the pan, and top with coffee/sugar mixture.
8. Bake 1-1½ hours until an inserted skewer comes out clean.
9. Let stand in pan for 5 minutes, then remove to wire rack to cool completely.

Last Holiday is a 2006 American comedy film directed by Wayne Wang and starring Queen Latifah. The screenplay by Jeffrey Price and Peter S. Seaman is an updated, gender-reversed adaptation of the 1950 film of the same name written by JB Priestley. Latifah stars as Georgia Byrd, a reserved plus-sized woman who lives a dreary, ordinary life in pre-Katrina New Orleans, where she dreams of an elegant existence filled with fancy food, stylish clothing, and high-society parties. But she spends most of her evenings eating frozen dinners all alone, often thinking about a shy coworker (LL Cool J) she has a crush on. When she is suddenly diagnosed with a terminal illness and given three weeks to live, she collects her savings and decides to go crazy, doing all those things she would never allow herself to do before. She heads for one of the world's ritziest hotels, the Grand Hotel Pupp in Karlovy Vary in the Czech Republic, where she takes advantage of every luxury she can, from spa treatments to downhill ski runs to helicopter trips to designer shopping excursions. While her lavish appetite is admired by a gourmet chef (Gerard Depardieu, showing agile comic skill), she is deemed a potential threat by a corporate bigwig (a slick Timothy Hutton). She's also none too happy to find her too-smooth senator (Giancarlo Esposito) enjoying a lush vacation instead of serving his community. Thirteenth part of my summer vacation video. This video contains footage from two Okonomiyaki restaurants, one a cook it yourself in Tokyo and another professionally cooked by master chefs in Kyoto. Okonomiyaki is my personal favourite of all Japanese food, absolutely delicious. Okonomi means "what you like" or "what you want", and yaki means "fried" or "cooked". Sometimes called the "Japanese Pizza" or the "Japanese Pancake", it originates from the Kansai region (including Osaka) and also Hiroshima. Song is Twist and Shout by The Beatles.
